The John A. Logan College Readiness Alliance is dedicated to increasing and promoting college and career readiness in our children and to fostering a partnership that results in the best experience possible for everybody involved. We want our readiness alliance to be a source of opportunity and accomplishment as we look ahead into the future.

College Readiness means the level of preparation a student needs in order to enroll and succeed “without remediation” in a credit-bearing general education course at a 2 or 4 year post-secondary institution.

Goals of College Readiness Pilot Project

• To diagnose college readiness
• Reduce remediation
• Provide resources and academic support
• Align high school and college curricula
• Develop an appropriate evaluation process
• Improve communication among all parties involved
